An international automotive parts manufacturer in the Indianapolis, IN area is looking to hire an Outside Sales Representative. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the automotive manufacturing industry. This is a direct hire and full-time role with benefits.
Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Provide client assistance by explaining products and pricing
- Pursue sales in the automotive component sales market
- Work with other departments, including the purchasing and engineering team to meet client needs
- Travel occasionally to customer sites and develop client relations
- Data entry of order and customer information
- Other Duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management
Outside Sales Representative Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree or related experience
- Must have Automotive manufacturing experience (ex. OEM, Tier 1, Tier 2, etc) or direct related experience
- Able to work Monday through Friday, and travel when needed
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with other departments and colleagues
- Must be flexible and be able to work under a multicultural environment
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and adapt well to pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related programs such as Excel and PowerPoint
This position is in an office work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 20 pounds, lift in excess of 20 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
